Fresche Solutions Named One of Montreal’s Top Employers For 2021

Teamwork, a caring culture and a strong pandemic response make Fresche a top employer again in 2021.

Montreal, Canada, March 11, 2021 – Fresche Solutions, the world’s leading provider of IBM i application modernization and transformation solutions, was recently recognized as one of Montreal’s Top Employers. This is the sixth year that Fresche has been chosen as one of the most employee-friendly and forward-thinking companies in the region.

Fresche’s pandemic response was one of the reasons the company was chosen as a top employer. Early in March 2020, Fresche recognized that the safest place for employees and their families was at home, so all employees were provided with the resources needed to do their job remotely. Within days, the company had effectively reinvented itself as a highly-connected and efficient remote workplace. The company’s collaborative spirit and effective use of communication tools made it easier for employees to quickly adapt and stay connected while keeping themselves and their families safe.

“Employees indicated that maintaining open communications helped ease some anxiety during an uncertain time,” said Fresche Chief Human Resources Officer Mathieu Alarie. “At Fresche, our biggest asset is our people, and it was critical for us to come up with a way to maintain their well-being and health, along with the company’s – all while preserving jobs as we weathered the storm together.”

As an international company, Fresche made certain that all employees had the resources necessary to work from home. The company has even developed a work-from-home policy that will remain in effect post-COVID. This will give employees better options to work in their most productive environment. In addition, Fresche extended its Employee and Family Assistance program to all employees world-wide. Other reasons that Fresche was chosen:

  • Education: Fresche Solutions invests in ongoing employee development with tuition subsidies for courses.
  • Opportunity for advancement: Fresche has a promote-from-within policy, and as the world leader in IBM i solutions with rapidly-accelerating growth, opportunity for advancement is everywhere.
  • Support for charity: Fresche supports national charitable organizations each year and encourages employees to give back to the community with a paid day off to volunteer.
  • Worldwide strategic partnerships: Working at Fresche means having close, dynamic relationships with some of the most important IT firms in the world, including IBM.

Fresche employees are quick to credit the company’s Fresche thinking for helping them advance in their careers. Dimary Leak, a project support lead in Fresche’s Montreal office, used the tuition subsidy to take courses in agile software development. Her new knowledge, coupled with support from an experienced Fresche manager, helped her accept bigger challenges and deliver projects faster. “The support and courses have been a real game-changer for me,” says Dimary.

Stephen Woodard, President and CEO at Fresche, commented that “Fresche is proud to be named a top employer alongside all the other great companies in the Montreal region. We always make employee satisfaction a priority, but this past year we did everything we could to make sure they were safe as well. And as always, what we do internally with our employees carries over into what they do with customers – taking care to make sure that Fresche delivers the best solutions possible to customers in every circumstance. Doing things right always produces positive results for everyone.”

No matter where you are in your career – or where you are in the world – you can make a significant contribution at Fresche if you are enthusiastic and ready for growth. We have consistently been chosen one of Montreal’s Top Employers, but our benefits and philosophy extend worldwide to our many Fresche offices. Our diversified cultures around the world are a vital part of our success.
